    Be Bold, Make Money

    Think about doing something BOLD in these so-called desperate times. How about DOUBLING YOUR BUSINESS!

    Say what? Think about if it's possible to "double-down" on your business. Is it feasible to double your employees? Or to hire someone other than yourself to double your efforts?

    How about doubling your advertising? Your links, your gallery submissions, your tube submissions, your article and blog writing?

    What would happen? I'm wondering this myself as I do what I am asking. Will profits double? Triple? Rise 10%? Not at all?

    The natural human instinct, I think, is to try and 'ratchet up' effort, or a business, incrimentally. But is that better in the end than just "going for it", I wonder. How many of you have tried doubling your efforts/business and was it successful for you? What did you do (and how did you do it)?

      I haven't been able to do that but it doesn't mean I won't try.

      The problem with employees is that nobody can do the work like YOU do and so, while they are useful and valuable, they can't double your money.

      There is also the law of diminishing returns when it comes to doubling your efforts but it doesn't mean you won't get lucky when you do.

          You should see an increase but you should check out "diminishing returns to scale"

                  If you do those all together, you won't accurately know what achieved what.
                  The effect of one or more could be negligible, best to know which to save future time.

                  I always found if you step things up individually, with even a short break in-between,
                  you have a possibility of knowing what is or was most effective - and then focus most on that for a spell.

                      in business scale is usually positive... for example: it's cheaper per video, to get 100 videos edited, than 10... cheaper per visitor to host a site with million daily visitors than 100k... with higher volume one has more negotiating power... etc... there are dozens of different reasons why increase in scale is good...

                              Sure, but there will come a time when doubling input no longer doubles output.....then it's time to diversify. That's all I was saying, certainly wasn't trying to put a downer on Peabody.
