I think his leadership capabilites have been well documented along with his tenacity when dealing with foreign governments. He's got my vote, fire up a fat one. hope he decides to run one day.

He wasn't part of any party until the last few years, and when it was talked that he might run against Clinton he said on 20/20 or dateline he was thinking of the Independent party.
So IMHO, if he ran I think he will do so as an Independent.
No doubt in my mind he will leave Bush at the end of the current term.

Dont worry, as i have stated here before, write it down and take it to the bank, powell will NEVER be a republican candidate for president or vice president. He is anti death penalty, pro choice, anti school prayer, pro affirmative action, pro gun control, etc. They like having him around because of his stature amongst the public and he is basically a lackey who will play the boss's game.
