    My new TGP site - feedback wanted

    Hello, adult media pros. I have just completed an art-nudes TGP. The web address is:

    http://freegalleri.es

    It is built on all custom software, not using Crystal or whatever software is common today, and has a unique look and feel with varying sized thumbnails. If you have a minute, I would appreciate any feedback / criticism / suggestions you could provide.

    Right now it features galleries from the Metart family only, but I am in the process of adding additional sponsors.

          These higher low resolution photos, coupled with the slow load times... it's fucking epically mind blowing. Not to mention the absolutely fantastic .ES extension. This is a sure winner and mind numbingly ground breaking!

                  I feel I am about to get a good flaming, and that's all good, I can take it.

                  Here is a question of opinion though, I have left the thumbnails in high quality, making the page slow unless you are on broadband. Do you think this is a bad idea? I would prefer the higher quality thumbs because I only use broadband, but I can see how that could be a bad choice.

                                                      I think what I have learned here is I need to make it much faster, so I will work on that.

                                                      BTW, Tofu, it is sort of a fake TGW, I add all of the galleries and there is no BBW section yet.

                                                          Loaded it in IE, page full of different size thumbs nothing is clickable. Supposed to be like that? Tried it twice, seemed like IE was gonna crash became un responsive at times

                                                                                  Was able to reduce thumbnail size by 90% with only a slightly noticible dither to the images. Page now loads 10 times faster. Thanks for feedback.

                                                                                  Pingdom now rates it 84/100 on speed test. (Thanks Tony)

The only really bad is, make it responsive or more smaller. Thinking: not everyone has a 21" Screen. Some surfing with small netbooks or pads. I hate this scrolling shit.

                                                                                                                                              If you are storing each in a subdirectory of thumbs, you will hit the filesystem limit for directories in a directory (I think 32k) very quickly.

                                                                                                                                                                  It seems there are plenty of people lining up to make sure I know that I will not make money from this kind of site, but I guess maybe I need to learn the lesson for myself. I understand the concept that people out searching for free porn are unlikely to be converted to customers, but surely a very small fraction of a percentage will see something they like and decide they must have more. Even converting 1 in 50,000 visitors is enough to make money.

                                                                                                                                                                                          Guess this thread's a few weeks old, but if the OP's still around - up the quality (i.e. lower the compression) on those thumbnails. The dithering looks pretty bad on my monitor when you've got a whole screen of them. You already have an uphill battle with a TGP in 2013, you don't want to compound that by making it look cheap.
