It's quite funny actually when they finally lose it, and all the frustration they have been keeping out of their side of the email convos spills out

I checked the whois and they were available and sure enuff a few hours later he re-registered all of them and said yes I will accept your $400 dollar offer and will set up escrow now.

I emailed back and told him I was all set.

I usually give them a list of some of my feeder domains and ask them for their expert appraisal using a form letter I've written.

I've been getting a bunch of these spam emails lately. They're always for domains that are in redemption period or pending delete. Plus the names they're trying to sell me are lesser versions of domains I already own. The spammers are trying to sell me the .info or .com with hyphens version of .com domains I already own.

I used to fuck with the spammers that were doing the domain appraisal scam a few years back. The one where they would email you saying they wanted to buy your domain for some outrageous amount, but only if you would pay for an appraisal first.

If I were to fuck with them, what I'd do, given they're almost always emailing about expiring domains, is say something like "I'd like to spend up to $1,000 on it, but I see I can backorder it through SnapNames (or whatever other backorder service). Then just keep making them think you're toiling over where to buy the domain - SnapNames or their link and make them come up with all sorts of bullshit/excuses as to why you should buy it through their link. Keep doing it even after the auction is over for the name and it's no longer expiring.

I tried it for the first time the other day and within minutes had the solicitor cracking up because they could not get a word in edgewise. I ended it by telling her (She said her name was Katie or something) Katie was gone.

CA law prevents me from recording it.
