    so i took in a street kid i know need advice

    as subj says i took in a street kid (19yrs old) ive known for a few years.

    a little background...
    hes a hard worker shows up on time as hes helped me with some odd jobs over the years like moving etc
    he is not on drugs besides a little social pot and beer which is fine imo especially at 19yrs. his family is a bunch of low life petty criminals and food stampers so hes decided to try and get away from that so living on his own and struggling a lot to not be homeless. hes had a few minimum wage jobs around my neighborhood over the years and his last boss (restaurant owner) was a bit of a jerk and a hot head and fired him hired him fired him hired him...

    so one time he was fired i saw him wearing a chicken suit at another place (lol) one day and was like forget this its a waste of time i can hire you and train you and put you on a better path.

    so now he starting in a few days ... im looking for something EASY he can be trained on and repeat that will actually make some $$$ so i can rationalize to pay him on a regular basis.

    any suggestions?

      Don't have sex with him...

      Oh an make sure you take pictures of anything expensive you have in the house, your insurance company will need that when you mysteriously get robbed in a few weeks time...

          what about small grunt jobs with local companies? video editing etc?

              exactly what i was going to say.

              but if you have to, i'd say keep him outdoors, away from everything, pulling weeds or digging a hole. who cares if you don't need the hole.

                      Then photograph everything in your office... Your business insurance company will still need to see proof...

                          thx yes its a bit of a good deed hopingi can help him get somewhere better.

                          i have my own sites so looking for something he can do to help with that but has to be simple hes got ZERO experience so not sure where to start honestly.

                          i have some odd job around he can help with but looking for something he can do to actually make a few $$ to offset what im paying on a monthly basis.

                              On the bright side (for the kid) he knows where you live and where you work, he can tell his buddies to rob your home while you are at work and then, once you realize you've been robbed and are dealing with that, he'll be able to tell them to stop by your office for the double-whammy :D

                                  been there, done that.

                                  i would also not let him see you not working, enjoying the fruits of your work, doing easier/funner work, etc.

                                  obviously the kid is 19 and perfectly capable of getting a job on his own, so you are going out of your way to set this kid up, he's going to know that and there's no reason not to cya.

                                      As a side note, if you feel like you truly want to give him a chance, start him off with something he cant really fuck up, sorting content... Will let you see how well he works and can help you out in the process by making sure you have everything in order

                                                  this thread brings back some memories, ahh!

                                                  i've done this 2x. both ended poorly/shit got jacked. the last time, the kid *borrowed* my company ping pong table for a beer pong get-together he and his stoner friends were having that weekend....dude just had his friends pull up to my offices and throw it in their vehicle when he left work for the weekend. the table was beat to shit when i had to go get it back myself.
