Affiliates now days are getting way too greedy. Should the affiliate program choose NOT to take advantage of an income generating opportunity that does not interfere with the affiliates traffic, because a user *might* choose to come back at a later time?

Come on man!

Sharky,

You are capturing the email during the sign up form process and they never actually agree to the mailing. Do we have to put a disclaimer on the sign up form page that we are capturing your data to stay complaint?

No, you don't. You can email market ANYONE you wish. That's why many people refer it to the CAN spam act.

We used to do this with escorts who abandoned during the ad building process. They got really creeped out when we contacted them a few days later so we had to abandon it. :)

I would say this has more to do with state of mental health...nothing to do with business:2 cents:

That would be incorrect.

You obviously know nothing about the CAN-SPAM act and compliance. Or you're just trolling for effect and giving people bad advice. Which, considering your own post history, is probably more so the case. Before you can start sending someone email, they need to DOUBLE OPT-IN to accept your marketing messages per CAN-SPAM (assuming you're located in the U.S.). Single OPT-IN's do not count as CAN-SPAM compliant.
