Is enjoying nature programmes on TV a sign of getting old ??

I don't watch much tv at all these days. Apart from sports anyway. I don't watch many movies or anything like that. One thing i do seem to always put the channel on these days though is nature programmes.

I can sit tuned into them and be genuinely amazed. Nothing else on tv just now even interests me half as much.

A sign of getting old, or just finally realising that everything else that gets shoved in our faces (ie the 84537221 reality shows and all the boring celeb show-off shows) etc is just pointless annoying shit that isn't even worth paying my cable bill for ??

Haha. Nah i've always kinda watched them i suppose, only now it seems to be one of the very few things i ever watch, other than sport like i said earlier.

The series 'Planet Earth', 'The Blue Planet', and most recently 'Africa' are just incredible to watch...

Nature is infinitely awesome! There's virtually unlimited number of subjects interesting enough to fill a documentary. I'd rather watch that than the vast majority of rubbish put out as entertainment today.

One of the coolest film experiences I've ever had was seeing a feature called "The Last Buffalo" at the New Orleans IMAXX in 3D.

The camera work on that was incredible. Now seeing THAT series on IMAXX would be hard to top, ever

I loved that show as a kid. Then again, our area was late to get cable, so we only had a couple of other channels to choose from

Since I've loved nature programs forever, I'm going to have to say that it's a sign of intelligence, handsomeness and overall coolness.

However, I do not like the type of show where some jackoff goes out into nature and grabs snakes and animals and holds them up to the camera and acts like he's risking his life for science. Just some good camera crews and a quality narrator is all you need.

No its not a sign of getting old. Most other TV sucks ass. I'd rather watch a nature show than those Kardasian idiots.

My favourite nature shows are the science shows like "Through the Wormhole". Very smart.

that shit is insane, and hard to believe there isn't 'our world' implications with it

then you get into the fact only a small percentage of the ocean floor has been explored
