    Offshore Companies ?

Does anyone have any recommendations for services that set up offshore companies in either Cyprus or Gibraltar or any of the other low tax countries in the EU ?

All I can say is if you're based in the US you better familiarize yourself with the new account disclosure laws. The IRS doesn't care if your business is offshore so long as you are rightfully declaring your holdings.

              He is in the AU.

But all the EU tax havens are being outed, this is a bad time to start doing this sort of thing.
              But.... I pulled out...

Didn't the Cyprus banking meltdown pretty much cross Cyprus off the list?

                  It's "she" by the way.

Melissa aka Pornobug is my employee.

Also it's not for tax haven purposes, it will be a subsidiary of our Australian company - we need an offshore company for billing purposes.

I'm a bit surprised to see anyone recommending banking in Cyprus.

                      Okay, didn't know that.

Well I only ever had a company registered outside of my own country once and that was in the UK.

Now I find it's much cheaper and easier just to run everything out of the same country. But then again, I have no idea how things works in the AU.

I would stay away from Cyprus though... and Greece/Italy/Spain since those countries are all kind running out of money.
                      But.... I pulled out...

What would be the advantage of doing that?
