                                          The biggest tube owner that I know spends 2 hours/day at least researching the most viewed videos and popular tags among other daily info.

                                          Also, you could join some surfer forums and see what people are talking about and posting in different niches and post a few links and images once in a while, but don't be spammy or give away that you're a webmaster.
