I think I'm one of the only people who actually liked T3, despite the recasting of John Connor and the aging Arnold.
(I typically can't stand a movie that's been recast. I think T3 and Iron Man 2 have been the only exceptions.)Comment

I like T3 better than T2. I'm not saying it's a better movie, I just really dislike T2.
Basically there is only one Terminator movie, and then there's a bunch of kiddie spin offs.Comment

Me too, and that includes most "reboots"/remakes. A perfect example was Hairspray. John Travolta trying to speak through the "fat suit" prosthetics was just too much of a distraction for me. Had they gone with Harvey Fierstein or Bruce Vilanch who had successfully played the role on Broadway it would have been a much better film. The rest of the casting was great, especially their Tracy and Moms, but Travolta's performance turned it into a "once was enough" for me, unlike the original I still pull out every few years. Of course without their "bankable star" they would have attracted a much smaller new audience beyond fans of the original.
An exception for me is Star Trek. I was aghast when I first heard they would be using the iconic characters from TOS, but the cast won me over.
