Schwarzenegger added that he also plans to appear in sequels to Conan the Barbarian and Twins, because there's no reason to tackle original projects when you can shamelessly cash in on nostalgia instead.
Lets hope not. He's already proven he can't act anymore from his last roles in expendables 2 and the last stand. Hes become nothing more than a parody of himself. Plus he looks old as sin. The only thing they could do is have him come back as the guy they originally based the t100 off of. If they try to make him an actual terminator again it will be a disaster.
Very true
James Cameron better not fuck this one up!
Anyone else think Edward Furlong should be cast again as John Connor?
He's had his issues with drugs but that is supposed to be behind him now, he's gonna be in the new Star Trek Renegades TV Show next year.
I like continuity when it comes to characters, Schwarzeneggers appearance in the last film was just retarded though!

No and no. The second no is because I'd prefer no John Connor at all. Did he even survive T4? Can't remember a thing about it, except "Arnie's" cameo.
The whole 'John Connor, savior of the universe' worked in the first movie, despite it being a ridiculous premise (why would just one person try to resist our extinction?), because you didn't get to see him. He's been a shit, boring, unconvincing character/concept in every movie since.
As for Edward Furlong; I'd rather see even Shia TheBeef.
Yeah your right, I just assumed on IMDB he'd be directing. If he's only a writer I'll probably pass on watching it completely unless they get someone great.

I really wanted to take a "forget me now" to erase the memory of T4 completely.
Depends what they are gonna do with the movie, I want to see it continue on from the opening scenes in T2

Sly sure has aged well, he has his momma's looks (and apparently her surgeon too):
On the plus side, the Jackie Stallone sex doll is a good likeness.

I doubt he'd write it without directing. I think the writing credit relates to characters.

Well in movie #1 they send back a Terminator. In movie #2, they sent back a Terminator (because it's basically a kid-friendly remake). In movie #3 they send back another Terminator, because there really isn't much else you can do with the story, other than move on to a boring post-apocalyptic human vs machine war that looks like Transformers, which they resorted to in Terminator 4.
One possibility is a kind of 'reboot'. Go back to 1984 (we're still in the age of 80s retro, right?) and have the Terminator not fail in its mission. That would remove the completely nonsensical premise that only one man would be willing or capable of resisting, and remove the need to be locked into another tedious man vs robots CGI fest.
Edit: Hell, who knows, maybe Skynet just wants to look after us, Colossus-style, and John Connor is a jidhadist loon who is part of the problem. We only have his side of the story so far.
You do realize that wasn't really him, right? His entire appearance in Terminator: Salvation was CGI.
You are correct sir... that was a CGI arni.
And I for one am looking forward to seeing Arni back in the next Terminator movie. And you can bet that the writers of the next movie(s) will take his age into account. They may reveal him to be a scientist that the original was based on for example (like they did in the short film that accompanied the last feature on DVD).

Sorry, but you're wrong. Arnold has already stated that he will be playing an actual terminator in Terminator 5, not Sergeant Candy, the soldier (not scientist) the terminators were modeled after.
Poor Arnold Schwarzenegger, the guy once had the body of a god (if God was on a high protein diet laced with steroids) but now he's 64 and we can tell by the look on his face that the poor dude just wants to sit down on the couch and watch the footy.
Arnie was snapped getting owned by his personal trainer in Santa Monica yesterday, sweating through a gruelling workout of cycling and stretching.
A slight ride-up of the t-shirt revealed the Terminator is sporting a bit of a tummy these days.
We reckon he's looking a hell of a lot fitter than most 64-year-old blokes, but now that his soft-bellied governor days are behind him and he's returning to showbiz, Arnie's obviously feeling the pressure to get back in shape.
People shit all over Arnold when they found out he'd be in T3 and called him too old back then. What happened? He showed up looking fantastic. I wouldn't count him out just yet. Granted he won't be able to do much about his obviously aging face, but I'm betting he'll be able to get himself back into pretty killer shape. Either way, it'll be interesting to see how this all plays out.

These guys, old as they may be, are pros at what they do. They know how to get in shape and can afford the best training money can buy.
I'd also like to see them go backwards like they did in Tron and show him young before he became the terminator. There is a missing story there waiting to be told.

You guys are forgetting something. First, he's a really bankable star, and Terminator is a very bankable franchise. Arnie IS the Terminator. It is a financial windfall to have Arnie back in his Terminator undies. Hopefully when James Cameron gets the rights back in 2017 or whenever he will make at least 1 more Terminator movie with Arnold. THAT will be spectacular.
