BlackCrayon -- thanks for the Trooper. One of my fav bands of all time. I've seen them live at least half a dozen times over the years and they're spot-on every time. They are one of the few bands who perform their live songs true to the orginal studio versions.

Raise a little hell is another of their bar classics.

I've never gotten to see them live. The one time I was supposed to at trudeau park may 24 weekend i got too wasted and missed them play. they're playing canada day here in kanata so i may check them out then.

Blood Ceremony is a Canadian doom/occult metal band I've been listening to lately. A little Sabbath, Jethro Tull and Jefferson Airplane mixed together. Good if you like a heavy dose of flute in your rock.

He's just a sad, insecure and weak person who was likely picked on in school, probably beaten by his father, or suffering from some medical condition and who has tried to make up for it and keep his self esteem levels just above that of a homeless meth addicted cross dessing male hooker, by constantly taking VERY safe jabs at anyone and everyone on the board by way of rhetorical questions and simple open ended statements that allow him to escape being cornered.

He's a feeble minded pussy who has proven time and time again with being real quick to post 1000s and 1000s of simple 4-5 word posts in the form of a SAFE, rhetorical question, intended to antagonize... but never having the balls to actually lay out a position and defend it with a well reasoned argument.

How he has remained employed is 100% beyond me. He has yet to demonstrate any real business skills, people skills, professional skills or knowledge of the business apart from kissing an occasional ass when someone posts a pic of some busted model.

Your gargantuan inferiority complex and the resulting behavior is amusing most of the time, but i would you would some therapy before you have kids and teach them to be a bunch of sniveling, spineless pussies sitting around making snide remarks all day to feel better about themselves.

It's from their 1976 debut self-titled album and it's a gem. Beautiful intro, then right into their signature hard-hitting power rock.

In fact that whole album is pretty incredible, especially the entire side one. Sadly it got grossly overlooked by rock radio stations and I to this day have yet to hear any of those songs played over the airways.

This is one band I wish I could have seen back in the day. I did catch Rik Emmett when he blew through here on his tour of Western Canada though, back in the late 80's or early 90's, I forget. His show and his guitar prowess, not to mention that voice, however, were not forgettable.

Amazing power trio. Vastly underrated on the world scene.

Godovich wrote a book that is filled to the brim with wild rock and roll stories, that put to shame some of the famous stories you've heard about US and UK bands from that era and earlier.

I'm aware of this book. I haven't read it, but I know of it. Wouldn't surprise me a bit if some of the stuff I was present for were included in it as well.

I wasn't there during their "Gas House" days back in TO in the late 70's, but his "feud" if you can call it that with singer Carole Pope of Rough Trade is quite well known. Then there was the time his wife ran over his foot with their station wagon, then upon realizing she had injured her husband she promptly drove over his same foot again pulling back into the driveway. That story I WAS present for when he told it to everyone at the old Hagar's Rock Club in Winnipeg on the first stop of their first comeback tour.
At one show I was at he came down off the stage mid-song, climbed up on our table and began wailing the shit out of his guitar. Then, unexpectedly, he invited (in front of about 400 screaming fans packed into the bar) myself and my girlfriend to get up there with him, take his pick from him, mid-song mind you, and keep the strumming going. THAT was quite a rush let me tell you.

I believe the song was "Cock on". :D

My first look at them live was during their tour with the chick band Toronto. I know for certain that some pretty rauchy stories came from that tour. couldn't say if they're in his book but put Greg Goddovitz on the same tour with Holly Woods and stuff is going to happen.

No, but in googling him, he was like 13 - 15 years after I left working for MCA {1979 - 1983} & even my brief return into music biz in the early 90's {1990 - 1994} , I was gone from it before it seems he was out.
Sounds good, though!
