Earlier this week, a Florida woman became instantly notorious when she uploaded to YouTube a horrendous video of herself berating in obscene and racist terms polite Dunkin Donuts employees.* Their offense? Not giving her a receipt for a prior purchase. Supposedly Dunkin Donuts policy thus entitles her to a free order.
There are many lessons we might learn from this unfortunate incident. One of them was formulated years ago by the late great Mitch Hedberg, and should perhaps be considered by the policy-setters at Dunkin HQ. To wit: ?I?ll just give you money and you give me the donut.
