It seems Epoch are offering PayPal as a payment option for Europe - Do you use Epoch and would it be first on your cascade for Euro countries?..

Considering Epoch will surely be accepting it at Epoch rates not Paypal rates (as they do with sofort, UKASH, Ideal. Giropay etc) then no, not first, and I would probably not even add it.

Yes some 15% unless you make very big volume, it's not so worth (eps. if like us, got own merchant). However so many people always email if they can pay with paypal, so who knows. If you add a "Pay with paypal" text everywhere, some more people may reach join form. Anyway this is (currently) just for europe + israel.

Made a quick check for Epoch countries showing Paypal:

andorra, austria, belgium, cyprus, denmark, finland, france, germany, gibraltar, luxembourgh, greece, greenland, ireland, iceland, isle of man, israel, italy, liechstestein, malta, monaco, netherlands, norway, portugal, romania, san marino, slovenia, spain, sweden, switzerland, turkey, united kingdom, vatican,

This is all europe (includes Swiss, Norway, Romania) + Israel, Turkey.

Benefits of using paypal:

When you signup with a traditional biller, like CCBill or Epoch, you either _only_ attach your creditcard or bank account for recurring billing.

When you're hooked into a subscription on paypal, there's the possibility of paypal rebilling your creditcard (or multiple creditcards) bank account (or multiple bank accounts) or even your very own paypal balance. Way higher subscription retention than with a single cc or bank biller. Besides that, cancelling a paypal subscription is usually a bit more tedious and harder to figure out than a ccbill sub.
