I presume it is only for EU merchants and even then only for customers in certain European countries, but I would have thought they would have mentioned it, not least in that thread bashing their new forms the other day?

If I had to guess I would say that it's an error on Epoch's end, having simply enabled paypal by mistake. If paypal's TOS hasn't changed and I'm pretty sure it applies internationally...
Seems like whoever created the new Epoch join forms simply left paypal activated from whatever script the join forms were based off of for certain countries...
Though it would be cool if paypal could really be used for joins...Comment

The way I understand how it works is that everyone that wants to accept PayPal transactions for adult site memberships has to do it trough Epoch.Comment

They are probably testing this with several clients in several regions/countries only.
I am sure there will be a big press release when it's all official. Epoch was already far ahead of every other third party biller, but now they just completely blew away the competition.
