Anyone ever go four wheeling at Pimso Beach? I want to take my jeep down there this weekend... Do you need to put one of those silly flags on your truck?

Shoulda made that left turn at Albuquerque. -
A big group of us used to go down 4th of july every year with atc's and sand rails. Was awesome fun. They have closed a bunch of areas off since then I hear. The stupid flags save lives unless you don't mind a sand rail coming out of a bowel and landing on top of your 4x4

Yes you need the flag.
It's going to be a very busy weekend http://thepismobeachclassic.com/
The town is really getting geared up, this is a big event here.

The problem with the dunes is they are usually full of idiots on rented 4-wheelers, it's amateur hour every day, not like when I was a kid and only the hard-core off roaders were around.Last edited by MK Ultra; 06-12-2013, 11:51 AM.Comment

Not sure if it's required at Pismo but I would use it. It's so people can see you vehicle over dunes if your parked or riding the edge. It would suck to get a 4 wheeler in your jeep windshield![email protected]

That changes everything.... I was looking for a quiet day, just a ride on the beach, maybe some lunch. I am already going to a car show in LA on Saturday. I shall just put this off until next time...Yes you need the flag.

No need for silly safety flags or other such nonsense, you know where you're going and what you're doing right? What could go wrong?
Have luck...
BTW, real sand dune jumpers use a Camry in the Saudi desert:
