Wow. CCBill has so many of you "well trained."

Other processors charge about the same starting rate of about 14.5%, but all offer discounts too. Have you asked any about qualifying for a discount? If you have steady sales and good history with little or no fraud, your sales rep could just be talked into giving you a reducing on your transaction fees and even reduce the time limit on the holdbacks.

We'll see how loyal you really are when one day Pay Pal Adult comes out, or something like it for around 3%. Then you'll look back and realize how screwed over you were for all those years. You'll be happy to jump ship without a thought.

Paypal already offered adult but stopped back in 2004 or something like that. We used to use them as a payment option with CCBill on our sign up pages.

You shouldn't let go. By all means when a cheaper alternative comes around webmasters should test it out and switch when ready, but you should never burn bridges in business.

I think CCBill is losing millions because of the major shift in the market, but nobody is talking about it. How will they continue to make up lost profit? Mmmmmm a new annual MC fee? raise all the other fees? Increase the charge back fee? Hike up the rate? Last I knew, it was 14.5%. Is it higher now?
|
Thinking is not knowing, and they or any other company would make much more on the transaction fees than the MC fee.

All I'm saying is, I don't see a future for them because they are too expensive.

In that case here's what you should do:
1. Shop around for another provider.
2. Negotiate the best possible rate you can.
3. Call your CCBill rep and tell them about the new deal you've found and ask if they can match it. If not, install the new processor and enjoy your savings.
What's so hard about that?

Too big to fail? Please.
I bet CCBill is run by 8 people now out of some basement office.

Fewer people + low rent location = lower risk for everyone.
