Reading that makes me realize that if we were giving teenage boys condoms and teenage girls birth control pills...then we would have a lot LESS teenage pregnancy.
Teens have always had sex (they have more hormones raging than all of us combined).
But our fucked up religious wacko's in our country just can't seem to figure out why their 15 year old daughter is knocked up.

Since you are from Serbia, you know how often people from here go to Cuba to be cured for most incredible things not available to rest of the world. Also, you know probably that soon lung cancer vaccine will be made in Serbia under supervision and licence from Cuban doctors (delayed for years, my guess is because of big companies since people from around the world will hear and start spreading). They have technology that lung cancer treat as any other illness and stop it not to spread and save patient life.
Recent example is one of Serbian famous actors that was almost dead and with gangrena and with stroke, recently came from Cuba and now filming new series in age of 80 and everyone thought he was practically dead before he went there. These are just small examples of how advanced Cubans are in medical research and health care.
Also, Serbia is also not good example to compare because they are still using hospitals and system made during socialism. Two weeks ago I've came from Military Medical Academy (it is opened for civilians also)because my mom broke her leg. There was immediate operation, and care and it costed nothing. Job was done perfectly and professional without any additional costs. But VMA (medical military academy) is also left from socialism in a same way complete system works. You also know that this was state of the art hospital, mostly underground ready for chemical and biological warfare and that Serbs made many such hospitals in different countries worldwide (as a business). On the other side, maybe there is low mortality rate with newborns but that is not covering complete situation where people are waiting for months or even year to get their turn on other free services. (we both know that free health system here is destroyed so people can make private business and earn big money).
So, maybe would be best to compare with countries that were not (are),socialistic....I don't know, for example. Germany,Norway,Italy....that would be interesting to see.Femdom Destiny

no,it was free.I am also having complete health care free as unemployed (need to write one document every year that I don't have a work).I am just saying that they asked 50 eur more for better service ,privately. That sucks and that is very dangerous thing (what will happen when you need hearth surgery). Personally, idea of paying for medicine and health care is sign of low level of humanity and civilization. Maybe because I am coming from place where it was free for all but even that I am not from there, we are all humans and need to be treated like that. Ignoring the health delivery quality of the uninsured with only emergency access to critical healthcare -- again the average healthcare in the USA would look pretty good as compared to the rest of the world.
But reasonable healthcare access should be a right here and not privilege of the "overclass" that can afford it.
Curative advances in Nanomedicine are showing great promise, if regulated in an egalitarian way and offered to all citizens based on need and not ability to pay, could dramatically lower cancer and other complex disease treatment costs freeing up money spent on this that could be used for preventive medicine.
Unfortunately, they are selling stocks and EFTs in Nanomedicine research firms creating the next big-pharma and continuing the the mess we have today.

In Canada you dont pay anything to the Canadian Government it is all to the Provincial Government (State) ....it is just a federal law that says the Provinces must provide it.

However this is, considering your point of view; a sellout or a compromise solution.
People on welfare (the "dole") receive taxpayer paid "Medicaid" at no cost to them and people over 65 receive Medicare old age medical benefits that they paid into over their working lives. Both are single payer medical insurance, State and Federal paid benefits but Medicare ( old age medical benefits ) has some deductible costs to recipients and some co-pays. Reimbursements to doctors, clinics and hospitals are considerably lower that what private insurance patients are charged.
So, we have this Byzantine payment schedule in the USA:
- Self paying patient: 100%
- Private insured patient: 50% - 70%* (negotiated contract price) (patient paid - federal subsidy at a sliding scale, up to $80K (AGI?) income (starting 2014)
- Medicare patient: 45%* (Federal government paid)
- Medicaid patient: 28%* (state paid federally subsidised (substantially))

Pretty fucked up healthcare delivery system ...

Maybe just you. My father is disabled (Parkinson's disease) and he's getting all the meds for free (even a wheelchair). He had a few prostate surgeries recently. How much did we pay for it? Nothing!
Me and my wife get tested in a local clinic every year (fluorography, various blood tests (CBC, biochemistry, hormones, viruses, cancer markers), cardiograms etc). She also gets tested as a women (mammography, gynecology etc). Everything is for free here. Furthermore, just yesterday she has cured two teeth. And yes, she paid nothing for it.
Need more examples? Anyone here in Russia pays nothing for calling/using an ambulance.
So I believe you are living in some shithole or you just have no idea about the healthcare you can have for free
