Is Jordan still the best of all time?

A couple of these young guys have me thinking that Jordan may eventually take a back seat as the best of all time. TMac and Kobe, if they stay healthy and choose to play for another 10-12 years could be rivaling Jordan's numbers. But will they ever have the same mystique?

you hit it nicely, nobody can replace or match his mystique... and the only reason they will match his numbers is because 1)their field goal percentage(Iverson takes 35 shots to get 30 points, thats not shit) 2)some of them were leading teams at 20 years old while MJ was still in college and only played 12 years(competitive 12 years, wiz years don't count)

NOBODY can compare to MJ,EVER

the numbers mean crap. jordan takes a vacation to play baseball, comes back and dominates.

he made guys like longley very rich and look like a real nba player when he wasn't. it wasn't only his offense, it was his all around game that made him the best ever.

kobe and tmac have a long way to go before they can even be considered in the same class as jordan. kobe isn't even the best player on his team. jordan won 6 straight championships and could have won 8 in a row if he didn't take off.

let's not forget what he did as a marketer and ambassador for basketball...Kobe Bryant on the other hand got boo'ed at an allstar game,he's a giant superstar but will never be a legend like MJ,Wilt,Byrd and Magic etc

I like TMac over Kobe BTW

Best of all Time....? Hard question....

Bill Russell, Wilt, Karem, Larry, Magic, Malon, the list is long.

For all he has done, I don't understand why he never got 100 in a game. He had the 3 pt arc to help him and he still didnt come close.

He is defently in the top3 of all time, I just have "issues" with the best of all time.

I agree, Jordan was more than just a great player. He brought the game of Basketball to a whole new level.

Best of all time is a difficult question.

I have to give Jordan his props even tho I hate him. He definately can be in the running for best of all time along with Kareem, Magic, Wilt, Bird and a few other players that were in the NBA back in the day.

Jordan is the best by far,
he dominated the court,

u knew in the final seconds it was Jordan either winning or losing the game for you,

he still at his age goes by this responsibility,

his talent is not even close to being matched by anyone today

I just think it is way to early to say that! A few more championships and then it may be true. He looks like he may be on the way.

He also has more passion then anyone. And is about as classy as they come. I lived in Chicago duing MJ's best days, and he did a lot, for himself, the bulls, and the area, plus a lot with the kids as well!

They don't come much better than MJ, on many levels. There's alot of good players out these days like Kobe, but only time will tell. MJ was able to keep his game on top for years on end......hard to beat in my opinion.
