Not that surprising actually, a Harley motor produces a huge amount of low-end torque, much more than the high-revving Jap motor, great for quick take-offs.
Over a short distance the Harley would lead but if that race had gone a full 1/4 mile then the rice rocket's horsepower and higher rpms would have made it the easy winner.Comment
