Mary Meeker?s 2013 Internet Trends is out

Meeker, the Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers partner, highlights growth of Internet usage and other activities on mobile devices and updates that now infamous gap between mobile internet usage and mobile monetization.

But there are many new additions. Among them are the rise of wearable tech as perhaps the next big tech cycle of the coming decade and a look at how Americans? online sharing habits compare to the rest of the world.

    Here?s Meeker?s full presentation.

A few slides that caught my eye:

28: Some really weird discrepancies regarding how much information people share about themselves online, between people in different countries around the world. Saudi Arabia is off the charts. (I also think many people underestimate how much they?re sharing when they use things like Facebook and Google.)

    42: Samsung?s incredible growth.

44: iPad has grown three times faster than iPhone did. This might be the most overlooked/underestimated fact about Apple today.

Mary Meeker, like Henry Blodget, was one of the most unscrupulous "analysts" back in the dot-com boom. She made a fuckload of money selling lemons (of the .com variety) to the unsuspecting.
Arguing whether the Democratic or Republican party is better is like debating which steaming pile of shit is slightly less stinky.
