Seems like a legit shooting. The kid was chasing another kid and shooting at him. When cops told him to drop the gun he declined to do it so they dropped him.

I have to disagree a little. Jamal, Tyrone, Monique might be predominantly black names but they are very easy to pronounce and spell. But Shaaliver, what the fuck is that.

The fucked up court system doesn't help. I dated a woman for a few months that had a 15 yr old daughter that was the devils child. She would shoplift, drink, skip school, etc. Her mother was incapable of doing anything. The minute she laid a hand on the kid the cops became involved.

Mom almost went to jail because of the kids truancy problems. At home if she physically prevented the kid from leaving the house at night it was considered abuse.

I was flipping through channels last night and Rosanne was on. It was an old episode where they caught the 12yr old daughter smoking. They were super nice about it, bought her a bunch of cigarettes and insisted she was an adult and should smoke them all... as parents often did to ensure that was the last time they tried to smoke. I was watching it and thinking "i wonder how many different state and federal charges they could be charged with today". The media would dub her "cigarette mom" and she'd be demonized and getting daily death threats, have to quit her job, lose most of her friends and so on.

It's a different world for sure.
