Just curious.. Thailand?

Still super far away since I plan to travel there after summer - around 11/2013, but cosidering it will be damn hard to find someone to travel with me..

..in short, any gfy-ers there around those days/months?

Would kinda suck to go there and realize I don't have a white face to talk to during the whole trip

I'm going to Thailand next April and looking for some solid advice on which islands to check out, I know we have a couple o GFYers there so hoping some pop in this thread and list some islands. I've been told by friends that the regular tourist places are shitty now, I was gonna go to Koh Samui but was told to stay away.

My plan so far is fly into Bangkok, spend 2-3 nights there then go to 2 islands for a total of 2 weeks... I just need to pick the best ones.

My plan is actually super simple, to spend the winter there (two months or so) and have as much fun as humanly possible. Would be insanely good if there is a few gfyers there with similar interests

Koh Phi Phi island was my favorite island. Not an Island but I really liked Chiang Mai as well. I think a lot of it depends on the weather at the time of year you go. In April, for example, Samui is not recommended.

All depends on what you want, party, sightseeing, relax, all of the above.. I did my first 2 week trip there years back, exactly the same, 2 nights in bangkok then 2 islands, we did phuket and samui, to date its still my favourite ever holiday and always will be. I spend 3-6 months a year on phuket for holidays, i even bought a condo there, its got everything you'll need for any type of summer holiday.

There are white faces EVERYWHERE here. If you follow the normal tourist haunts you will see more white faces than Thai ones. You have to get waaaaaaay off the beaten trail to not see white faces, and even then there is always 1 or 2 guys on the lam you may run into who live in some remote village somewhere.

Depends on how crazy you go.. personally I spend anything between 3500 baht to 8000 baht ($125-$275), normally depends on the creatures of the night! when on holiday 5,000 baht a day is normal.

If you want the best sea you should go to Ko Tao, Ko Phangan is also nice.
For the hookers Phuket is great, and have a lot of nice beaches around the center...you should go visit Krabi area from here.
Pattaya is only good for the bitches, the sea and the beaches are terrible.
