Offering a discount at cancellation stage via CCBill / Epoch

I know quite a few sites do this - but do you really think it is a good thing? Those sites that do do this, what are the conversions like?

bump for a good question... Would be interesting to know some proven conversions. We don't offer it currently, but generally a week after expiration we send a discount email, that works very well first time around, repeats not so much. Usually around 1 in 20 take it up (rough estimate)

I offer a cancellation discount with both CCBill and Epoch.
Only a very small amount of people will take advantage of it but in my opinion keeping a customer at a reduced subscription is better than losing them completely.

You might as well try, they're canceling anyways. You could run into savvy customers who knows this and take advantage but in this day and age any subscriber is good.

Question: do affiliates get a piece of that discount or no?
