well... I don't really understand that string thing... I know you explained it, but it's just throwing me off here... and the background seems... kinda.. empty... maybe it's just me

you could probably accomplish the tv effect much better if you did it in flash. the low FPS of gif won't work well enough for it since the tv grain effect is fast paced in reality.
