I've used almost every big hosting company over the years.... i'm in love wiht many of them. There are a lot of great companies that provide a great service and great support.

These guys? Worthless cunts. Amateur, rude and unprofessional. I got yessed to death with them years back setting up servers, in the end, they did nothing that was agreed to, the specs were not what was agreed to, prices not what was agreed to etc. Finally after threatening to find the tech guy, hunt him down and choke the life out of him, the owner (sounded extremely young) wanted to talk by phone and basically insisted that i could be mistaken and "misunderstandings happen" etc etc etc in spite of me reading off the emails, the specs, the agreed prices etc and quoting some of the insanely rude shit his guys said when I started asking questions - they just kept talking in circles until i was forced to tell them to fuck off.

Only HostGator and that useless pack of twats have ever pissed me off about something hosting related to that extent.

Someone told me quite a few years ago that his daddy either bought him the business or financed it for him, which made sense considering what I experienced.

I have no clue if your serious or not.

I was thinking about this and trying to recall what it was exactly that the guy said, which marks the point that I finally lost it. I can't recall. It was way over the top and basically his answer to "this isn't the server we ordered... none of this is what we discussed" was "shit happens".

To be fair, it wasn't the owners fault completely. It all began with the sales/tech support guy who was their main contact at the time for accounts. What i fault the owner for was the conversations, the logs i read, the emails which I read to him with the other guy on the phone and he offered no apologies after hearing how things came to a head and that I wasn't even remotely close to getting what I paid for, much time was wasted etc. I remember being more irritated and telling him I was done. He called me back a few times, not to say "hey, i'm sorry - it should have never got to this point" but to offer small discounts or some weird shit that was even more offensive.

I understand that people like Jason and I understand that people's experience vary. But when you lay it all out, discuss the needs, the server specs, the timelines to get stuff done, the prices etc and the guy who is the single point of contact does the exact opposite of everything and has the attitude like ""shit happens" and Jason got involved and took the position of "hey, misunderstandings happen" and not "wow, i can't fucking believe all this was agreed to and none of it happened, i understand why you are upset" - and you are still out the time and money and no further along 2 weeks later, its reason to be pissed.
