anyway, what surprises me the most is the small guys trying to fight the windmill. It sucks, but your battle is lost. The wide majority of this industry supports piracy (and believe me, this is one of the naivest things they support) and even many of those who are openly against piracy are profiting from it. You're fighting a lost battle. I won't say "adapt or die", but quite honestly, while I like seeing there's still some people with a sense of honesty and values, I also think you're wasting your energy in something that won't help you nor anyone.

When you see the Freeones guy saying he NEEDS to support Torbe because he has to feed many families... well, he's laughing on your face, but at least he's being more honest than most people here: nobody gives a damn about piracy, and that's how the whole situation came to this point. When the whole tube rage started, I predicted all the steps Manwin would take and how everybody would suck their cocks and try to imitate them. I didn't miss a single step, it was just as if they were reading my script. And that didn't happen because I had a crystal ball, it happened because it was just logic. My point is: I'm not very smart, so if I could see it, many people could see it as well, the only question was which path would they follow: being honest or steal everybody. The answer is at sight.

Totally agree with you, it's been a lost battle since a long time ago. It's as simple as 80 percent of world population living with less than 10 dollars a day.

Ok, Harvey I'll make my own prediction. I got out of adult 10 years ago because I saw paid memberships for the fucking privilege of providing free content to tgps would kill it. And it sure as hell did, or started the downward spiral that tubes finished off. You had guys like me that paid for content, it put us on the wrong side of profitability. Anyway since I called that one right for the record here is my prediction. It isn't as hopeless for killing illegal content as you might think. We will ride that tide to some degree. How effective depends on how tightly it gets tied to mainstream. That is if it reaches a point that mainstream piracy is minimal and porn is still getting ripped off well then we are shit out of luck. But I don't see that happening. If your going to rip off one, your going to do the other. So adult is going to be able the use the same laws the big boys are going to get in place to protect their shit.

It's already happening. Used to be if you went on your average "pirate" forum there would be the best content from the best providers. Now most are switching over to amateur only. Not because it's more popular but because they are starting to feel the heat. Now don't get me wrong piracy has always been here and always will be. But the more heat the more undercover it has to become and the less accessible it becomes. Actually he's not wrong. Online porn piracy has been around since before 99% of people here had even heard of the internet, let alone tried to sell anything on it. Before the world wide web even existed.

In the 80s people were stealing copyrighted porn and selling it, or giving it away, via bulletin board systems. In the mid 90s it spread to the newly created web, where, like BBSs but unlike Usenet, it was again possible to make money from stolen porn.

Some of the big names of today, who aren't shy when complaining about their own copyrighted material being stolen, started life in the 90s by spamming Usenet groups with copyrighted material they didn't own, and selling access to it.

This 'industry' (aka collection of hypocritical, green-eyed, cannibalistic piranhas) is one of the most crooked, low-rent, untrustworthy businesses in the world.

Despite porn being legal and immensely popular, people within it still have the same backward, narrow mindset that it's not 'mainstream'; that it still exists in sleazy bookstores in shit zip codes; where ripping off customers is fine, because they're not going to complain; that shady practices are not just tolerable, but are the norm.

Nobody, not a single person, gives one shit about piracy, except where it affects them. There isn't a single person in the world who hasn't downloaded or used images, music or movies without the permission of the creator/owner.
