I was told that the fluorescent lights in stores fucks with LCD displays. . not sure if that's true or if it does the same thing with LED displays or not

YEARS ago, yes. Now.. not at all.

What causes grainy looking HD displays in stores is the split signals and the demos they set up with Monster cable that makes all non-monster setups look bad (purposely).

Monster cables are a complete myth. No evidence supports the hypothesis that they provide a better picture.
