Test streaming on my site - GoFuckYourself.com

For months (!) I have been struggling setting up streaming on my site (lighttpd):

On my home computer and laptop (both Win XP) it plays but buffering every 2-3 seconds, really bad experience.
On my laptop and another ISP - it shows error "cannot load video" or something like that.
On my netbook (Win 7) it plays fine.

I am trying to figure out what the problem is - my host's support insist that all is fine on their side and it's my ISP's problem or my 2 computers are fucked up. Before they said it was tracing route problem.

Have a look at the video and post here how it works for you, if it plays smoothly, if you can skip forward before it loads completely, etc.
Also please write operating system and browser.

Played with no issues at all - Skipped with no issues...

Win8 with Chrome - I was also streaming the news in HD on another monitor.....

It also buffers for me every 2-3 seconds. Try to skip ahead and that causes about a 5-10 second buffer before it starts playing and then the normal buffer every 2-3 seconds again

win XP and firefox

works fine over here, played immediately with no buffering except for about 5 seconds of buffering when I skipped ahead. other than that it was smooth

Windows 7, since chrome and ff are already covered I used IE

Gotta say the quality is great. Too good as a matter of fact. Your bitrate is probably 2.5 Mbits a sec or higher Im guessing. Tough on a lot of ISP's throughput and a majority of the computers and tablets out there hardware wise.

Id like to stream full hd but most my customers couldnt use it.

I stream most videos around 1.5 Mbps h264 720x480 with an mp4 wrapper. Flowplayer and lighttpd and h264 apache stream module. The quality is great and the video seeking is quick.

Mobile users have no problem. Mac and PC guys no problem.

Btw. Handbrake is a great utility for video compression and its free.

fine here, skips ahead fine also. I have XP/Firefox, and note that post #5 has the same setup as me but has problems, so what TSJDAD said above about bitrate is probably the best place to start

your video works great for me. Actually the only streaming videos I have problems with on my computer are my own videos from my own server

Win 7, Opera 12, 4Mb/s speed. Buffering every 2-3 seconds, must be that server is slow, or maybe it's my speed if video resolution is big.

because their bitrate isn't as high? seriously, just halve it, and see if you can play them fine - if nothing else, to remove that possible reason from the equation.

Played much smoother. Only a few seconds of buffer even when I skipped ahead (Mac using Safari)...

this one worked 100% in both k-meleon and chrome, the original that you posted freezes every few seconds

maybe its down to the server load at the time someone is viewing the video? check server load.

If it's server load then there is no way I could have streaming on this server when 10 or 20 members start streaming videos at the same time.
