However, it's the randomness of terrorism in Israel that makes it seem higher than it is. Here is a comparison of homocide rates, and as you'll see Israel is very low. In fact, one could make the argument that gun violence/terrorism would be much higher if Israelis were less armed:

More like Palestinians trying to blow themselves and innocent Israeli civilians up. For the most part, the IDF shoots rubber bullets at those rock yielding palestinians. They excercise more restraint than any other military in the same situation. How do you think the government of Jordan would react if they were throwing rocks at their military?? They'd probably slaughter them just like the last time they tried that. What was 1972 when the PLO tried to overthrow the Jordanian government, so the Jordians killed 3 thousand Palestinians over 3 days. But, of course, you never hear about that.

The 2nd from teh bottom a .243? I have two of those guns that i have never shot. Like teh AR, have an Olympic Arms one with a 1" comp. s.s. target barrel, & teh free floating alum. hand guard, bi pod & 5-12x 50 leopold scope, Cant fucken miss with that thing.

That was my first shotgun I bought when I was 14 for 20 bucks. (dam that was 22 years ago):(

It's an old Herrington & Richardson 20 gauge.
AR-15's (.223 cal) are cool. I like them all, especially those that shoot NATO ammunition. ie: 9mm, 45acp, .223, .308, 30-06, etc.
You can get some good deals on bulk ammunition in those calibers. Cheap to shoot!

If my life was on the line and it was close quarters I would go for the revolver. (Ruger GP-100 357 Mag) Mainly because they never fuck up or jam versus an auto. It stays on my nightstand next to the bed. I keep one .45 hidden in the bathroom and keep the other .45 in my vehicle. Shotgun leans in the corner by the back door and everything else stays put up safe and sound.:)

Its all about the gauge, cant beat a shotgun for aroudn the house.

The fact that people have guns doesn't increase violence all by itself. 90% of all crime is due to people with drug addictions, not because people own guns.

I don't about that. I'd say most crimes committed with guns have something to do with drugs (gangs fighting over territory), but I don't think it's accurate to say 90% of all crime is due to people with drug addictions. What is your source?
