it's a demanding cam body.

any brand full frame lens will do, however depending on your demands...

50/1.4, 85/1.4, 24-70/2.8 to start with.

no, shoot 24-70 @ F16. the glamcon boys shoot tele's... no one else really cares about it except model mayhem shooters. the 24-70 gives you an immediacy and closeness that members like... used the 17-35 2.8 but keep getting in the way of the light for the close ups

wow, that's great to hear actually! w00t. have you ever noticed what focal length within that 24-70 most of your shot are? roughly?

i found that i like to shoot at 28mm 60mm and ~85-100. that was when i had the 28-300, but i've sold that to get the primes in the focal lengths i like to shoot.

well the 24+70 it not my favorite lens by any means... it's just the tool needed for the job and that's about it... my favorite lens is the 200mm 2.0

i might have to rent that 200 some day. i've never really shot in that range, even when i had the zoom. i think it's because i'm just not used to it.

I compose on the fly so I shoot a bit wider than I need to so I can center the COI... that covers any slop on my part and yes even though I shoot medium fine jpg I can still crop a vertical image, horizontaly and get 3000 pix on the long side which is my shoot specs...

yes I like the isolation at a shallow DOF however the membership I shoot for prefers NO isolation and plenty of full body wide's etc...

rent the 70-200 2.8, be a lot cheaper, the 200mm 2.0 is a 6k+ lens

that 70-200 2.8 sure is the lens eh. i bet nikon has sold a ton of em. i've shot with the canon equivalent and honestly, the weight of that thing!

that's why i'm digging these new g series lenses, plastic body easy to lug around and as sharp or sharper than their pro big bros. i'm going on a walking tour photoshoot of some la la architecture this saturday, i'm glad i have the lightweight rig to lug around, the 28 and the 85 are what i'm bringing.
