I was a bit shocked to see the opening scene of LEO using a straw to blow cocaine into a woman's asshole. This is NOT a Feel good Christmas film, but I did enjoy it

i haven't kept official track. just going by movies i want to see and who's starring in them. the last movie i chose to see him in was inception. i wanted to see that one pretty bad, so i caved. i thought i wanted to see django and would have seen it regardless of dicaprio, but the level of violence in it, combined with him, i chose not.
nevertheless, i feel that of movies i want to see, he's in too many of them. would like to see variety of actors. it's hard enough to suspend belief to sink into a movie, having to overcome the same face makes that suspension more difficult for me.Comment

he has a team supporting him, he's a business. he also isn't the sole decision maker on which roles he gets. certainly he gets to choose from the top, but scorsese and hollywood execs that crunch the numbers have quite a bit of authority on who was cast in this, much of that decision is simply bottom-line accounting, which actor will fill the most seats. especially for blockbusters, that why you won't see anyone but the top actors in a blockbuster, the accounting doesn't crunch.

I read the books when they came out, really looking forward to seeing it... I actually bought Boiler Room the other day as I saw in on sale which should be a good refresher before wolf... Also, blaming DiCaprio for choosing good movies is a bit much.. He's not overcast.. just happens to jibe with certain directors you also like.Comment

again, he's overcast for movies i want to see. as i stated earlier, it wasn't an official count,i it's my personal view and experience. i don't care for all of scorsese's films either. hugo was a massive let down, it was over-scorsese'd his style of movie making is quite obvious and not every movie benefits from it. like dicaprio- scorsese directs like scorsese, dicaprio acts like dicaprio. add in an accent, it doesn't matter, dicaprio plays dicaprio.Comment
