I have not gone into a tablet yet... still do desktop and laptop.. and my phone.. I had a small netbook for my car, the thing was a total piece of shit hardware wise for the case of the machine.. it fell apart after 6 months..

I'd maybe look at ZDnet and see the reviews there, then amazon, read the reviews in depth and compare them yourself...

I have a Tab 10.1 with the phone built in. Its really nice but a bit hard to carry around. if you carry a Murse or have a wife then its ok.

Go with the Samsung, you dont need to rely on shit like itunes to load anything on to it and you can use micro flash cards for more memory.

I've had the iPad 1 & 2, and then I won an iPad 3 from GFY.

My GF has the iPad 3 now and she loves it. I switched to the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1" and now it's a tablet when I want it to be a tablet, or I set it on it's keyboard dock and turn on my bluetooth mouse and it's just like a netbook. Didnt have to "jailbreak" it and it interfaces with my 3d Samsung TV. Some things on it work differently because I was used to the iPad, but I've never regretted making the switch from Apple to Samsung.

I have a kindle..i use just for reading. And sometimes youtube videos if i cant sleep.

Yeah, It really depends on what you are going to use it for. If you want "The Best" Of coarse it is going to be a Microsoft Surface Pro, It works great as a tablet and computer especially if you use X-Box live. Down fall is that there are not a lot of apps made for it yet. When the docking station comes out it will be a great replacement for the average persons home computer.

I have an iPad 2 and a Touchpad.

I prefer the Touchpad. I like browsing the net and doing quite a lot of my work on it.. More importantly, I fucking hate mobile versions of web pages.. The TP allows me to use it like a real computer, no mobile bullshit.

You can get them for around $200. 32gb.

For full size tablet, the ipad4 is probably the best, but it's reflected in the price. But I don't think the features merit the huge price increase and would go with a Samsung.
