You keep telling us how it's a bad time to expand and not only did you buy a new, larger factory, you are also building a fountain... You are either not following your own advice or you were wrong, which is it?

It's a big plant. 502,000 Sq. feet. Over 12 acres under roof that sits on 50 acres of land.
This picture was taken a few years ago and was left here when I bought the building last year.

I think you will need to search real hard to find me ever saying that business should not expand. I have said many times however, that the government is making it very difficult to do it. I was originally planning on putting an addition on my other plant. Between DNR,EPA and local government they had us nearly 1 year behind. The local city government is still pissed at me. I bought this plant privately and there is not a thing they can do to control it.

And honestly, I am one of those quasi-reckless entrepreneurs that just have to keep it moving forward. It's all I know.

The fountain is going to be beautiful. There are some trees and nice landscaping going in. The fountains will be lit at night with a LED system. I am keeping it open all the time so if local people want to come and enjoy it on a hot summer night they can.

a buddy of mine owns a trade school.. the state of California decide to add a $250K fee every year to keep the school open, not a license, just some other fee the state cooked up...

That type of BS goes on constantly. You just never read about it. I saw bills the other day that came in for a *boiler* inspection and permits. It wasn't a lot of money, but when they send out a few thousand invoices for $400 ea: that's a nice return on a 50 cent envelope and stamp investment,

Nah, there's nothing wrong with it at all. Most of us in this industry have the entrepreneur spirit, and most of us have business interests outside of adult. It's nice to see really.
