Frank serious question
How can I accept bit coins?
Does bit pay work iwht nats or is that in the works?/
Well, it depends what you want to do.
I use them on an online store. It takes 5 minutes to setup. You don't need anything else. You just add their button on your site and set up the price and that's it.
If you want to use them for adding members on your site you will need custom programming.
all these comapnies who came out saying we accept bitcoin refuse to post stats on if anyone actually has had sales
Maybe they don't want anyone else to copy them because they're making bank? Setting up bitcoin payments is very easy and you have everything to gain by doing so.
Just try to open a wallet, and when you open the program "bitcoin-qt", it will start syncronizing, and keep syncronizing for DAYS!! WTF?
And every time you need to open the program it will start SYNC again to update the file, and it will take very long. A true pain in the ass to deal with.
It should be instantly, not SYNC every time you open the program, What kind of shitty program is that?...

Just try it for yourself and you will see...
first time takes forever, then after that as long as you login once every few days takes a few mins, so not THAT bad...
there are online wallets that solve this problem, though risk of getting fucked is increased a bit...

Just use blockchain.info and create a wallet. Just remember to back it up. Blockchain.info is safe.

I'll gladly go on record and say we are making bitcoin sales. It surprised everyone how well it did the first few days as we got a lot of people who were looking for a good way to spend the coins they already had.
Since it has been under a week I've not expected to see many sales from our normal traffic since it takes at least that long for people new to bitcoin to open and fund a wallet.
I am just waiting for an easy way to acquire them for everyone that does not take weeks of waiting.
Definitely the main issue for more mainstream retailers.

HaHa, didn't see your post before I replied. We need to get you a Sig so everyone knows you're THE Man at MetArt.
A program implements bitcoins and makes sales; how do they translate that to cash? If I am an affiliate and my referral pays with bitcoins, do I still get paid in full, in cash?
The biggest issue I see with this is minors can use bitcoins. That is an issue for adult sites.
Yet Pornhub and every other tube site is freely accessed without even an age verification that I can see? We also accept prepaid cards.

We're routing affiliate payments in USD through our normal affiliate payment system. As our affiliate payout is based on the product the person purchased not the bitcoin exchange rate, they will make 50% of exactly what they would make from a normal sale.
We are mostly shielded from btc fluctuation by Bitpay but we are completely shielding the affiliates from the fluctuation by basing our payout on the product sold, not the amount it sold for in btc.
