i'm going to go ahead and say it, i've been holding off because i don't want to feed the trolls but this is a real question.
we have high speed pursuits at least every couple of days in l.a. and as best i know, those guys NEVER ever get away. let alone after a shootout where multiple cops where hit? 200 bullets, i think. |

I would imagine it's not too difficult to hide from police, and even more so if you know the area. When you are running, you can just run. When police are chasing, they cannot just "run". They have to peer around every corner to make sure the person they are chasing isn't waiting around the corner with a two by four or worse.
