The cop's quote does seem odd, but coupled with the dad's quote about hell breaking loose makes me wonder...as far fetched as it sounds, could there be, I hate to use the phrasing 'sleeper cells,' but groups scattered around that will unleash a series of small attacks should this kid die? It sounds extreme, but at this point, I don't know what to expect.

I heard mention on CNN this morning that that 'kid' may have dropped a few random pipe bombs around. If that's the case, all I can say is if I lived anywhere near there I would probably stay the hell home this week and just let the coppers do their thing.

We should all want him taken alive so there can be a trial. I hope it happens, but I have to say my confidence is low, especially if he makes a threatening move He'll have 700 bullets in him and we'll all wish we had him alive to answer questions later if not sooner.

I must have missed the start of the trial, which would have occurred after they were arrested and arraigned. Damn, that "right to a speedy trial" thing is taken pretty seriously if the dude is already in front of the court and having the evidence presented.
