    The best actors/actresses most people can't name

    This is Candyflip's fault from his responses in the Superman thread.

    Actors and actresses that you think are really great but most people can't name.

    The first to come to my mind is Eddie Marsan. He is in a ton of stuff, is always great but most people don't know his name even if they know his face.

              The first that comes to my mind is Andy Serkis, because the roles he is most well known for had him under CGI:
              Caesar in Planet of the Apes,
              Kong in King Kong, and
              Smeagol/Gollum in Lord of the Rings.

                          Good call. I forget he isn't the well known over here.

                          He did a great job in Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll, the Ian Dury biopic. Also, you might have to be British or know your serial killers to appreciate but his portrayal of Ian Brady in the tv movie Longford was pretty special.

                          Maybe he needs to just keep playing people called Ian.

                                                                                                      I also think he's pretty well known now, due to his distinctive looks and probably Hellboy, but until recently I didn't realize he's the guy who played Vincent in the 80s TV show Beauty and the Beast.

                                                                                                      John Carroll Lynch is one face I notice in quite a few movies, but couldn't put a name to.

But anyone who has any real interest in movies has to know who he is. Although wasnt in many flicks because of his early passing. He was one of the greats. So versitile. I think he already was dying in either godfather 2 or reindeer games. Dont rememer which one but I remember I think Meryl Streep talking a out it. That he was basically dying and acting at the same time. They were dating at the time. Pretty sure it was her.
