**National Alert**
Boston MA |**Bombing**| 671 Boylston St.| There were explosions at the end of the Boston Marathon from several explosive devices hidden in garbage cans. This is an active MCI and crime scene. Total injured is reported to be between 30-50 victims with 3 confirmed DOA's. BPD and MSP have closed off the area. BPD is reporting that they are locating several secondary explosive devices around the area also in garbage cans. MBTAPD & MSP bomb dogs are responding to the area from Logan Airport, Mass. National Guard has been mobilized and EOD responding to the city. BPD and BFD on high alert for a secondary attack/explosion. I was watching the video of the explosion on the news.
Not to diminish what happened, but the explosion seemed more like a pipe bomb than the usual "terrorist" suicide vest type. There's cops 10 feet away in the street who turn around after it goes off like, "hey what was that?"
Seems more like a pipebomb by some homegrown lunatic. If this was a foreign terror attack I think those people standing around would have been knocked off their feet. Al Quada doesn't plan something for months/years for a small explosion like that. I'm no expert but it looks like only people super-close were killed or injured.
