I went there in the 90s to Montevideo
The ladies were gorgeous and the people were very nice...no problems at all but I was dating a girl who lived there and was in The US for school.
Montevideo seemed to be as modern as any city but as you would expect the rural areas can be VERY rural.
Im still in touch with her from time to time and she said the country has had an economic boom since around 2005.
Its also pretty progressive...gay marriage is legal as well as marijuana.
The dollar is strong there so the cost of living if you are earning US dollars should be very good.Mike South

One friend from Uruguay was scammed back in the day. I remember some guy called DAVE, who used to own some strip program and scammed him out badly.
I don't know why this guy DAVE keeps posting in this forum, if he's a fucking scammer.
I will try to contact my friend from Uruguay so he can tell the whole story about this DAVE guy and jeopardize him badly.
Or maybe give my friend the idea to make this story viral and expose this guy on the web.
