The reviews on newegg say it's good. I've not seen too many inaccurate reviews on that site as I believe they get people to provide reviews for coupons/free gifts. So it's not just terds leaving feedback because the product sucks like on most other sites.
But overall quality of the call would depend on bandwidth/internet speed. If you don't have the bandwidth it will get choppy or reduce sound quality to manage on lower bandwidths. I've used voip.ms as my SIP provider with an asterisk server setup on a dedicated server. I could then call my SIP number over regular cellphone line and it would be converted to VOIP with any outgoing telephone number I want. (caller ID spoofing) also pretty sure doing that is illegal.
