My Bitcoin Rig

Got my setup nicely
custom built pc for mining bitcoins, it contains 3 ATI 7970 GPU's, M5a99fx PRO.R2.0 mother board, 500gb SSD. All paid for thanks to day trading bitcoins.

$1,500 for Everything.

Doing over 2700m/hash currently. can push for over 3000 when i get some better cooling.

Total Hash Rate:2700 MH/s
Average time to find one block: 89.25 days
Average daily revenue: 0.28010874 BTC ($65.27)
Average daily electricity cost: $1.30 (0.00556223 BTC)

Average daily profit: 0.27454650 BTC ($63.97)

so $63/day at the current difficulty can be worth $150 by next week lol or $0 if it crashes.
The biggest risk is not taking one.

Those ASIC chips are where it's at. 2GH/s or more for the same price as you paid for your setup... But good luck getting your hands on one.

i just hope bitcoin will not collapse, still have some value when you cash them

just imagine how much some datacenters cound make a day? if this does not scare you and tell you bitcoins are worthless then nothing will... and it would be a whole lot more profitable to make bitcoins in datacenters as renting out servers

yeh the common m/hash for the 7970 is around 650, but certain tweaks with .cfg files that guiminer use you can bump it up, and with more cooling i can increase the workload with the overclocking software that comes with the cards.

indeed it does! i had to rearrange some stuff and had no zip ties after i cut them all. incase anyone is wondering, i was wondering if i put them in SLI mode that i might get a faster hashrate, well, not a good idea, it actually reduces it. who woulda thunk.

Nice rig.

Another thing you can do is recover password hashes. Ocl-Hashcat-Plus uses the GPU to crack password hashes. I have seen where people charge to do that online.

Looks like you are learning and having fun. That is the important part.

There is a set rate of bitcoin being generated, it's just people fighting harder against each other. I guess it's a good excuse to go nuts on technology but rather stupid.

If I was serious I'd move where there was a river and build a small damn and power a shack of video cards. Some people in here that aren't too savvy don't understand that video cards process for bitcoin much much better than cpu.

It's like affiliates trying to outspam each other except in this case there's a limit set.

People's houses have been raided because there bitcoin miners drew more than pot growers houses.

I was thinking that going from $200 per month to $1000 per month must grab someones attention.

pretty good site for comparing your hashrate with the current prices and what to expect, i think i might start doing litecoin tomorrow as ill be getting a better return and mtgox will be using litecoin soon, also there is over 18,000 people awaiting verification to start buying bitcoins there, thats fucking insane, the demand is still high, lets see where this will lead!

pretty good site for comparing your hashrate with the current prices and what to expect, i think i might start doing litecoin tomorrow as ill be getting a better return and mtgox will be using litecoin soon, also there is over 18,000 people awaiting verification to start buying bitcoins there, thats fucking insane, the demand is still high, lets see where this will lead!
Any idea what the hashrate for Litecoin will be with this setup?

So I downloaded GUIMiner but when I click "Start Mining!" nothing happens.

Any idea how to make it work?
