pretty good site for comparing your hashrate with the current prices and what to expect, i think i might start doing litecoin tomorrow as ill be getting a better return and mtgox will be using litecoin soon, also there is over 18,000 people awaiting verification to start buying bitcoins there, thats fucking insane, the demand is still high, lets see where this will lead!

seXXXhub 04-10-2013 02:26 AM

NiXXiN 04-10-2013 02:27 AM

i been told about the same
so 2700M/hash in btc is $1273.93 / month

well after tinkering around with all the heat issues and also had to limit my overclocking to make sure i diddnt cause another chernobyl its put my speeds back to around 1800 M/Hashs which kinda sucks.
Also setup remote admin to it so i can connect to it where ever i am.
had to move it to the basement as its cooler and more quiet.

today is the first full day of running this thing, ill post back the stats later tonight

yeh like your thinking, was gonna out archlinux on it but the increase of 30m/hash per card is still debatable

haha yeh i bet, gonna suck when all the asics some out but who knows when the hell they will start shipping those out. apparently end of april and some may take two months to arrive. i got alot of mining to be done in the meantime.

mineistaken 04-11-2013 06:09 PM

I am curious why you got this only now and not weeks earlier. At least weeks earlier. I mean you do not risk that much, if play money crashes you still could sell that machine second hand, its not like you would be in the minus.
I would have built at least 3 of those in that room, especially if electricity is only 1.3$/day.

I mean you invest 1500$ and you get 60$/day, thats a no brainer.

AllAboutCams 04-11-2013 06:45 PM

I think you will find a case is too much i have mine open air much better cooling

Is 50GH/s on an ASIC rig a good price for $549?

Probably but very little chance of buying one

Actually, I mis-read it, its only 20GH/s for $549.

The 50GH/s is $849.

Serge Litehead 04-11-2013 06:56 PM

who's making 50GH/s asics for $549?

last i've heard asics producers charged over $1k for 50GH and then bumped prices above 2k, while there are HUGE waiting lines of existing pre-orders. now, no one who owes an asic right now would part with their milking cow unless some ridiculously high premium is offered i would think.

The 50GH/s is $849 not $549 I misread.

I believe its a chipset specifically designed to use for mining, but I could be wrong, I only just started looking into mining a couple of days ago.

The url is http://www.asicrigs.com they seem to be out of the UK but they also look like its just pre-orders right now.

NiXXiN 04-13-2013 09:30 PM

pushing back to 2000MH/S, still gotta try and figure out this heating issue with the middle card, its a piggy int he middle and the other two are heating them out, got a nice setup going on now though, logmein set up on all my devices so if anything happens i can change it at a moments notice, also thinking of setting up a webcam of the rig so if i see the fan stop working i can shut it down, havent figured out yet how to shut the system down if temp reaches over a certain number, will be doing that soon, also setting up a router down there so i dont have to route the net through my spare laptop thats sitting on top.

Hey Nixxin, can you give me some tips on how to make GUIMiner work? I still can't find any info on how to make it start mining. I've got a wallet.
