I think he was using 'LLL' in the same way as you would normally use 'xxx', but xxx.xxx would have been even more confusing (or not)...

Well, xxx.xxx probably holds some vale; if the question is are there ANY 3 letter domains with value, I am sure there are. Are there any of the same 3 letters (other than xxx) maybe DDD, FFF, JJJ for big tit sites? KKK for racist porn?

I was thinking more x = any random letter - So xxx(LLL) could mean dhq....

I think one has to keep in mind that it took a while before it was even suggested that a domain was automatically worth more because it was 3 letters.
