Tube owners, what video length converts best?

It looks like a lot of programs only offer 60 second tube clips. A few do 2-3 minute ones. What have any of you found to work the best? It seems like a surfer hitting a tube site with only 60 second clips wouldn't stay long but maybe that makes them want to buy?

for the tube owners whatever length its all about the banners and pops. but i guess long enough for you to get bored of the video.

Interesting. That's 2 people for 10-12 mins. I guess I'll have to do some experimenting of my own. I'll use a hosted tube with 2-3 min affiliate clips. And a self hosted one with AVS probably with 10-12 min clips.

Ask program owners what converts best. Tubes make their money from selling banner space and traffic.

My opinion... 30 seconds/1 minute. Bring a 30/45 minutes video back to 30 seconds/1 minute and you have 30 seconds/1 minute of high impact and completely stuffed with the most appealing shots! Very short shots so too difficult to process by the mind so it will be mindblowing... A 10 minute video? Why... so everyone can see how fucking boring it is?
Does that mean the content is boring? No... but people are always looking for something that doesn't exist... they are looking for the perfect scene; perfect in their own head. Doesn't excist... but you need to give them the illusion that this is their perfect scene...
You need to blow their mind... if you give them time to think or wank they won't pull their cc. When it becomes boring they will just skip to the next free tube video. I'm sorry... but if i see 10 minutes of a video i've allready seen the whole video... but that's just my opinion...

I was kind of thinking the same. I just felt like 60 seconds might be too short (as I wouldn't bother with a tube site as a fapper if all I saw was 60 second clips) and 10 minutes does sound like it would be too long, long enough to find something good to get your rocks off and thus not get the CC out.

I wish that wasn't true but anything under 7 or so wont even get looked at these days.

Depends on the tube it's self. Some will have their surfers trained into short clips and others with longer. Longer clips, more perceived valued and more looks. Almost no one watches an entire clip from beginning to end they skip through it for the action that they want to see.

The amount of promotion material should be relative to what you have on the site. If you have 30-40 minute movie, and LOTS of it AND the surfer knows the full scene is that long then a 6-12 min clip isn't bad. Enough for them to see the action and get a taste. Yes some will get off. Others will see the quality, and if it's what they want and hits their button they'll seek out MORE. Personally when jerking off I like the beginning of clips for the setup/girl in her outfit, a little bit of action in a good position and a nice popshot in the right spot.

If it's 12 minutes of the middle part without a popshot there's no way I could get off. But then again i'm picky ;)


Other factors to consider are how rare/sought after the content is and how niched it is compared to the promotional site. There's no blanket answer that really covers all content.
