After my third year in, I signed up for, and went through, Ranger Indoctrination Program with the intent of then signing another 6 year hitch for Special Forces, but then my girlfriend back in LA was going through a big bunch of crap and I decided to get out instead. Short term I thought I had made a terrible mistake, but MAN, would my life have been different!

I tried out for Force Recon three times when I was in the Marines. In fact, I took the test to see if you were eligible to take the "real" test. I failed three times, each time a different part. The first part was a long run on the beach in boots and full gear, the second was an insane obstacle course. I never made it to the third part of the test.
Recently we had a new guy start to hang out with us, and he was telling us he was a Marine in Recon. He was unable to answer any basic question about what he did when he was in the Marines. I've noticed he no longer comes around.Herschel Savage

Second most common lie would be how someone worked for playboy

I am sure you would have had any problems becoming special forces guy if it wasn't for your girlfriend. I was MI6 assassination contractor but also got out because my cat got sick and needed extra care at home. After my third year in, I signed up for, and went through, Ranger Indoctrination Program with the intent of then signing another 6 year hitch for Special Forces, but then my girlfriend back in LA was going through a big bunch of crap and I decided to get out instead. specOps are allowed to talk about their positions, they can just not discuss any classified jobs they have been on.
i know a couple of ex seals and rangers and a still active army sniper(kids got issues). Only the sniper talks about his work much, still getting over it, i guess. A girl I know in high school, her dad was one of the original SEALS, he was a very smart man. crazy thing was, he never made noise when he walked, even on gravel, or the super loud creaking steps in their house, kinda creepy.Comment

It is a very common lie. The truth is anyone in Special Forces tend to down play anything they did.
And I did work for Playboy. But at least everyone here knows that.Herschel Savage

I have no idea if I would have made it. I didn't claim that I would have. I was three years in the army, back from Desert Storm, (2nd battalion of the 18th F A Regiment, 212th brigade), and had then completed the R.I.P. at Fort Benning, and was eligible to try out for SF. I was going to volunteer to go for it, until the stupid girlfriend issue came up. So instead I decided to just get out, as my term was up. My DD214 shows this.... So you can stick your sarcasm up your cats ass.
Have a nice day!

Your DD214 shows info about you getting out due to your ex? Does is also detail that other horrific situation you were involved with during your service?Comment

No offense meant to you or anybody else who has served....BUT....Posting such pics doesn't prove anything. Uniforms, patches, etc...Can all be purchased from other sources. I busted a guy last year who was claiming a fake military record. I reported him to StolenValor.com and a couple other sites.
Just because I own a Paraclete plate carrier and a King County Sheriff S.W.A.T. patch doesn't make me a member of their team. Since I'm not trying to pretend, I have no need to redo my carrier to further prove my point....Hopefully you get the idea.
Like some others have said, I know a number of operators and not one of them is outspoken about their service activities. Most play it very low key and will be found on forums like Socnet way before GFY.

yes, I was a Ranger stationed in Jellystone Park in the 60's.

I moved my sites to Vacares Hosting. I've saved money, my hair is thicker, lost some weight too! Thanks Sly!Comment

I know you like to dress up and play cop/soldier still, but were you ever in the military?

wheres the valor in flying over half the globe to bully badly trained, force drafted, 3rd world civilians who are forced to fight you because they have no place to run? first you impoverish their entire country and keep it hostage to your mickey mouse politics for decades, you silence all democratic opposition with your cowboy bullshit and cement dictators in power, then you carpet bomb the shit out of them, then you move in with armored vehicles and ONLY then do you attack civilians who never did shit to you anyway...
where is the valor in that?
you guys are just as phoney...report yourself...

Operators don't go around claiming fame, and couldn't be bothered if you knew they were SF or not. They will, however, always claim military service in general.Comment

Nor am I here to prove anything to anyone.
You've obviously read the title of this thread ?
Fris asked a question / Question was answered with a authentic dated photograph.
Actually no, I don't get the idea. Besides for personal inadequacies in ones life, why would someone purchase official gear/ identifying tabs and patches that were not earned?
Impersonating a Police Officer is serious charge.
Who is being outspoken about anything here in this thread? Certainly not me. Just became a little tired of reading everyone elses military duty which does not pertain to the threads topic. Of course this is GFY where a large percentage of people are judgmental and have to weigh in no matter if it's topic related or not.Like some others have said, I know a number of operators and not one of them is outspoken about their service activities. As for part two of your question; I've since retired from the military.
I am currently a amateur adult content producer as for the reason I am here on this board. I am also co-owner of a once failed night club.
My apologies for not trolling and responding to every GFY board thread but building up a brand in the adult market and co-running a night club does take precedence.
Hopefully I've cleared up a few things for ya, if not, I'm not sure what else to tell ya.
Have a good one people!Comment

I don't know anyone in the special forces, my grand father was part of the 1st Canadian parachute battalion who had some amazing history in WW2 such as jumping in Normandy on d-day.
He was also part of some special force unit where he trained out of Fort Louis Washington then went on to the Korean War. We are still trying to dig up info about him since he did not discuss it much and he died in the 80s. I don't know if Canada even has special force units anymore.[email protected]

I love assholes like you who fail to understand the basic concept of our military. Our military does not get to decide where, when, and whom it will fight, or what it's mission is. The Valor is in being a solider, and supporting it's government no matter what their personal beliefs are.

Although I was quoting you and responding to your photo, I was also directing some of my post to the others who are reading the thread. There's no need for you to feel compelled to yourself here man. Nothing you have posted is out of line or questionable in any way. I'm just saying anybody can buy what you posted. Sorry if I worded that in a way that made you feel I was questioning you directly.
Why would somebody buy a patch they did not earn? There are several reasons. They could be a collector, a family member of a fallen soldier who is trying to re-create a uniform for memory sake, or they are a shit bag who wants to pretend they are something they are not.
I've been given a lot of patches like the King County one by the agencies themselves. Likewise, I've given patches in return. I also have a bunch of GFY Staff shirts, jackets, etc...Yet, I have never worked for GFY.Comment

thats why i would never make a good soldier, i dont do shit just cause some idiot tells me. I live in a country now whos inhabitants had to suffer a lot from my ancestors and even in my time, i would have learned how to shoot at exactly these people cause they are "the enemy".I love assholes like you who fail to understand the basic concept of our military. Our military does not get to decide where, when, and whom it will fight, or what it's mission is. The Valor is in being a solider, and supporting it's government no matter what their personal beliefs are.
but i live here, have friends here, drink and party with them and have absolutely no intention to shoot them.
fuck wars
considering i'd be probably 90 or 100 by then (or more likely dead already) i wouldnt recommend that.
