Mind you, I'd still say someone with just a few hundred AVS sites is talking more BS than my posts above if he says it costs $100k a month in hosting.

Anyway all the specualtion will not figure it out.

Only the guy writing out those 108K checks knows.

If you are paying $500 for 2 gig a month, I think you may want to consider switching hosts :winkwink:

People had already said it was POSSIBLE, the question became how PROBABLE it was that a guy running shitloads of "AVS Sites" would be using 2 gigabits....

you're in that industry (hosting).. what do you think the probability is?

My reference to rackshack was to make the point that they are using around 4-5 gbps of bandwidth.. and they have a MASSIVE operation over there built on cheap whored out bandwidth prices (which, for reference, I see as a good thing) :)

Well, it seems a bit unlikely... someone making AVS sites and using the equivalent of, say, 60 high-placed large movie galleries on the Hun each day?
Or, at servers doing 50 Mbps each, a few hundred AVS sites on 40 different servers?

Hey you're confusing 2 gigabyted with 2 gigabits per second. Two gigabits per second sustained for a whole month is 648,000 gigabytes transferred. Here, use this handy bandwidth calculator:
