Content theft
I take photos of celebrities for a living. Recently I have had a major problem with an online forum owned by http://forums.superiorpics.com/ubbth...ubbthreads.php superiorpics.com
There has been a specific user that steals my images, uploads them to a image host and displays it on the forums. The forums are so popular my stolen image post shows at the top of Google and everyone steals my images. I have contacted the owner of the site and they don't give a shit and said the images are mirrored and aren't hosted on his server and my issue is with the image host not with his site. Even though I told the owner this one user is costing me money every time he uses the forum to post my stolen images the owner of the forum refused to do anything about the user. I can't even message the user to confront him or ask him or her to stop. What do I do I send legal notices to the image host but it takes a day to remove the images by that time the damage is already done. It's obvious the members on that forum are stealing the images and the owner of the site knows that. Can I sue the owner of Superiorpics.com in court in a civil case? FYI every single post has to be approved by a site moderator so they are fully aware and approve every post that contains the stolen images. Also can any of you get the full contact info for Superiorpics.com ? I only have email contact info but no actual physical address info where I can send legal documents to |

![]() dave90210, if you are serious about having a lasting and active method of protecting your content I couldn't recommend a better source to turn to. If you have any doubt in AK's record go check the stopfilelockers.com blog, it should also be noted that the campaign has been active about mitigating alternative methods of monetizing piracy such as free image sites with ads and ad networks that thrive off the free traffic. Copycontrol is the only service that seeks to permanently disable the means for piracy rather than participate in the game of DMCA whack-a-mole which does little. ![]() |
