Got one email from him about some personal problem as reason for the lack of communication and progress. His developer finally got back to work on our project. Making head-way but still a lot to do. This was told to be a 2 - 4 week job back in early February. It's now April 10th.

Very strange... at least he emailed you back finally.

It looks like he already did doesn't it ? Unless he's in the hospital or jail there really isn't any reason to ditch your clients..

Something terrible did happen. Someone paid for work and he didn't deliver. Its pretty terrible that people are still standing behind him.

I think he already did, who in there right mind would trust this guy with a project now after this thread? No offense. But if you work on the internet, and are in the tech business. There is nothing personal enough to keep you offline for 2-4 weeks. I know people who had there parents pass away, it doesn't take 3-4 weeks to get back to work.
