Remember the time when Jim Carrey was funny?

I watched it, the entire time I was thinking... the funny part MUST be coming up soon.

Nope. It didn't. Regardless of what side of the gun control debate you're on. This is a desperate attempt to stay relevant after a box office disaster.

LOL, Jim Carrey's films have grossed over $2 billion...and ALL of his movies have generated a profit.

I guess I'm the only person who doesn't like him. Mask was ok and I chuckled a little here and there but I just don't find him that funny.

I guess everyone in this thread didn't know Charlton Heston, During the March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom held in Washington, D.C. in 1963, he accompanied Martin Luther King Jr.
But if you want to bash him, I completely understand.

Like this post. The majority of his recent movies bombed. The bulk of the money he generated you spoke of is from old movies. So like I said, desperate attempt to stay relevant after a failure. Good try though.

Populace, no matter what they told you on the tinfoil forum, just because you keep repeating something doesn't make it true.

Here is a list of Jim Carrey's movies, the production cost, and the gross earnings:

http://www.boxofficemojo.com/people/...=jimcarrey.htm

Like I previously posted, films that Jim Carrey has appeared in have grossed over $2 billion, making him one of the most bankable stars in Hollywood, AND all of Jim Carrey's movies have generated a profit.

Seems to me that Jim Carrey is using his high profile celebrity status as one of the highest paid actors in Hollywood to advocate on behalf of gun control.

Where did you get that, what exactly has he done that has compared with mass murder, are you fucking kidding me?

Both being with the NRA and marching with Martin Luther King Jr, he was about standing up for the constitution and peoples rights, sorry if you can't comprehend that.......

but i still think that the NRA and Charlton Heston are despicable human beings (and I doubt the "human" in this context)

No you weren't, you were jumping on the band wagon, not knowing shit about the man and bashing him because his views differ from those in this thread, well maybe next time learn something about the man before bashing him, like his backing of the Gun Control Act of 1968.

I made the comparison because people were bashing him and didn't know he marched with MLK, and he did it before it was fashionable. If you are to pass judgement on someone, learn about him first!

He won an oscar
he backed the Gun Control act of 1968
He marched with Martin Luther King Jr to picket segregated restaurants in Oklahoma city
He even picketed a movie he stared in, El Cid, because the movie theater was segregated

Yet you want to compare his action to a mass murderer, go buy a clue!

The world would be a better place if we had more responsible people like that
